Dr.Vijaya Rudraraju – Professor and Principal

Dr.Vijaya Rudraraju, a post graduate in Business Administration holds a Doctorate in Women Entrepreneurship.  She has a teaching experience of more than two and half decades including international teaching in King Saud University (AACSB Accredited), Riyadh as a Professor.

With an administrative experience of more than 15 years as the head of Management Colleges, she has taken charge of Apollo Institute of Hospital Administration as the Principal. With extensive research experience she has published many research articles in both domestic and International journals. Under her able guidance 3 M Phils and 2 PhDs were awarded so far. She has organised many workshops and seminars on contemporary issues in Management. She has been a coordinator for many events, Management meets and Entrepreneurship Development Programs all throughout her career. She took part in many national and international Seminars, Conferences, Workshops and Faculty Development Programs both as participant and a Panel Speaker.

With a lot of commitment and dedication she is driven to leave no stone unturned in the process of moulding students into thorough professionals and better citizens of tomorrow.

Dr. D. Shree Devi is presently working as Professor and former Principal at Apollo Institute of Hospital Administration. Before joining this Institute, she served as a lecturer in Commerce at Arts and Science College for Women, Andhra Mahila Sabha, Vidhyanagar, Hyderabad for about twelve years. She has obtained her Ph.d degree from the Osmania University, Hyderabad in May 2008 on the topic “Custodial Services in India – A Study on Stock Holding Corporation of India Limited”. She has completed her M.Com from Osmania University in the year 1994 and MBA from Acharya Nagarjuna University in the year 2008. Completed Executive Development Programme on “Project Management” from CEP IIT Delhi in the year 2014.

She has teaching experience at undergraduate and post graduate levels for about thirty years. She taught for B.Com, B.A, B.Com (Vocational) B.Com (Computers), M.Com MBA (HHCM), MDHM, M.Sc Nursing, B. Sc Nursing and MCA courses. She has developed course (study) material for Centre for Distance Education, Osmania University and University of Hyderabad and DR B R Ambedkar Open University. Her areas of interest are Accounting, Finance, Operations Research and Quantitative Techniques. She has participated in various national and international seminars and presented papers and has published 45 research articles in various national and international journals.

A team player and seasoned faculty member and administrator with refined soft skills and meritorious academic background in Commerce, Finance, Statistics and Accounting combined with experience of teaching 28 Undergraduate / Postgraduate courses over a span of 30 years (1996-present). Guided over 400 dissertations, developed study materials for universities and reviewed manuscripts for book on Hospital Financial Accounting for Oxford University Press. Also Conducted a National Conference on “Making Quality Healthcare Available, Accessible and Affordable in India: Challenges Ahead”. Member of BOS of DRBRAOU, Hyderabad and Sharnbasva Univeristy, Kalaburgi, Karnataka.

Dr. A. Girija is presently working as Associate Professor in this institute. She has 2 years of industry experience and 17 years of teaching experience. She was awarded with Ph.D Degree from Osmania University is the year 2014. She has done her M.Phil (Hospital &Health Systems Management) from BITS, Pilani. Her areas of interest are Operations Research, Statistics, Hospital Information Systems. She has published several papers and participated in various National & International Seminars.

He has done Ph.D from Kalinga University, Raipur & P.G in M.B.A with specialization of Marketing & Finance Management from Andhra University (Campus), Visakhapatnam and Graduation in B-Tech (Mechanical Engineering) from R.V.R & J.C College of Engineering (affiliated to A.N.U). He is a Certified Six-Sigma Black Belt Holderand underwent “In-Plant Training” on Materials and Operations Management Vizag Steel Plant, Visakhapatnam and BHEL Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited, Hyderabad. He is working with this institute from 16 years onwards as Assistant Professor and his areas of specialization include Organizational Behaviour, Healthcare Digital Marketing, Healthcare Information Technology, Hospital Operations Management, Strategic Management for Hospitals, Medical Tourism and Continuous Quality Improvementin Healthcare. Parallelly, he organizes visits to various types of hospitals, industrial trainings and workshops to impart practical hospital exposure for our young and dynamic upcoming hospital administrators. Also he is working as Placement Officer from past 10 years where he successfully placed hundreds of students in various sectors of health care industry.

Dr. Purnima Narayan  is associated with AIHA as an Assistant Professor. She has two years of industry experience and ten years of teaching experience. She is UGC-SET qualified and holds a PhD in Healthcare Management. She is also a member of the AIHA alumni committee. Dr. Purnima has published several research papers in reputed national and international journals. Her key areas of interest include Hospital Financial Management, Statutory and Regulatory Compliance, Health Insurance, and Hospital Waste Management.

Dr. Deepthi has been associated with the Apollo Institute of Hospital Administration as an Assistant Professor since March 2021. She is a graduate in Homoeopathic Medicine and holds a Master’s degree in Hospital Administration from TISS, Mumbai. Prior to joining AIHA, she served in the hospital industry in various capacities, gaining comprehensive exposure to healthcare operations that now strengthens her academic contributions.

She is presently pursuing a Doctorate in Health Services Management from TISS. Her areas of interest include hospital planning, communication, patient care management, value-based care delivery, and the operational management of small and medium-sized hospitals.

In addition to teaching responsibilities, Dr. Deepthi coordinates the activities of the AIHA’s Academic Club, which aims to support and enhance students’ academic competencies.
